AI & Data Sovereignty in AWARD®

Overview

Before enabling any AI features in AWARD®, it’s important to understand how your data is handled. Many organisations require senior leadership approval for AI functionality, and this often depends on clear assurances about data privacy and sovereignty.

AWARD® is committed to protecting your data and ensuring compliance with organisational requirements.

What Data Is Sent to AI Services?

When using AI features such as Evaluator Assist or Sentiment Analysis, AWARD® sends:

  • Question instructions
  • Evaluator rationale responses

No other project data is transmitted.

How Is Your Data Protected?

  • AWARD® uses OpenAI via their secure API.
  • Data sent through the API is not used for training OpenAI models.
  • OpenAI does not store or reuse your data for any purpose outside of processing your request.

  • Your data remains confidential and is only processed for generating AI suggestions.
  • AWARD® does not share your data with third parties beyond the secure OpenAI API integration.
  • All AI features comply with strict contractual agreements to prevent data misuse.

Why Is This Important?

Understanding data sovereignty helps organisations:

  • Ensure compliance with internal governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Gain confidence that sensitive information is handled securely.
  • Make informed decisions before enabling AI functionality.
