Updating or Removing Answer Measures When "Answers Exist"
If you are unable to update or remove Answer Measures because "Answers Exist," you will need to Disable data protection before you can make these changes.
Recommended Actions
If you wish to update or remove Answer Measures from a project where evaluations have commenced, follow the steps below. Note that this method is intended for minor amendments, such as incorrectly adding an Answer Measure to a question Assessors have responded to. For significant changes, please contact the helpdesk for more appropriate solutions.
Steps to Follow:
- Set the Project or Exercise to "In Preparation" State
- Turn Off Data Protection
- Navigate to: Project > Tools > Setup > Advanced Settings > Protect Data
- Select "Disable Data Protection" and follow the on-screen guidance
- Optional but Recommended: Run the Audit Report for the Exercise (Before)
- Navigate to: Project > Reports > Excel > Audit Worksheet
- It is recommended you save this to the same project (you may wish to create a separate internal document group for this purpose)
- Update or Remove Answer Measures
- Navigate to: Setup > Questions
- Select (click) the question you wish to update to open the View Question page
- Scroll down to Answer Measures > Click Edit
- Set the Answer Measures as you wish them to appear
- NOTE! this will set all answers against that question to "In Progress"
- Turn On Data Protection
- Navigate to: Project > Tools > Setup > Advanced Settings > Protect Data
- Select "Enable Data Protection" and follow the on-screen guidance
- Optional but Recommended: Run the Audit Reports (After)
- Navigate to: Project > Reports > Excel > Audit Worksheet
- It is recommended you save this to the same project (you may wish to create a separate internal document group for this purpose)
- Set the Project Status to Active
