Authorities in AWARD®

AWARD® allows customers to set up one or more Authorities within their account. 


An Authority represents a Contracting Authority and is used to store relevant information, such as the authority's name, address, and identifiers. Additionally, it stores a CDP (Central Digital Platform) API key, which AWARD® requires to access the CDP on the authority's behalf. This API key is obtained through the authority's CDP portal and provided to eSenders.


Key Points:

  • Authority Information: Store details about the authority, including name, address, and identifiers.
  • CDP API Key: Required for accessing the CDP, obtained through the authority's CDP portal.
  • Optional API Key: An Authority does not need a CDP API key unless access to the CDP is required.


Authorities are used when setting up a Procurement in AWARD®.
