How to allow Evaluation and Moderation to happen at the same time.

If you want your assessors to be able to evaluate and moderate the same question simultaneously, you need to change the “Dependent Exercise” settings on the Moderation exercise. You need to set the rule for the Evaluation exercise to “Visibility Only”. This means that the Evaluation exercise will be visible to the assessors, but not affect the availability or completion of the Moderation exercise.

To change the “Dependent Exercise” settings, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the AWARD 6 Home Page and click the Project you want to edit.
  2. Click the Setup option on the toolbar.
  3. Click Exercises in the left-hand navigator. You will see a list of exercises for your project.
  4. Click the Moderation exercise you want to edit. You will see the details of the exercise and the submissions.
  5. Click Edit to enable the options.
  6. Scroll down to “Dependent Exercises” and find the Evaluation exercise in the list.
  7. Change the rule for the Evaluation exercise to “Visibility Only” using the drop-down menu.
  8. Click Save to apply the changes.

Now your assessors can evaluate and moderate the same question at the same time. However, please note that if a question in the Moderation exercise is marked as completed, it is still possible to change the answer  to that question in the Evaluation exercise. This may cause inconsistency in the results.
