Importing Supplier Responses from Atamis into AWARD®

This article explains the requirements needed to import supplier responses from Atamis, an eSourcing system, into AWARD®. To prepare for this, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Link the accounts at the server level
  2. Set up the Atamis account in AWARD®
  3. Link the users in AWARD® to the Atamis account
  4. Import the evidence items

1. Link the accounts at the server level

To access the Atamis system through AWARD®, prior approval is required. Please contact the AWARD support desk to initiate the approval process.  Once you have obtained the necessary authorization, we (AWARD®) will link your accounts at the server level. This will ensure that you are ready to go!

2. Set up the Atamis account in AWARD®

You can check if Atamis has been configured in your account by going to Administration > Account > User Authentication (you will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page). You will see a list of all (if any) the eSourcing systems linked to the account.

For Atamis configurations, you may have both a Live and Sandbox account. If these have not been configured, please contact the AWARD® support team as this step can only be performed by a CDL Administrator.

3. Link the users in AWARD® to the Atamis account

Only AWARD® Administrators can set up users with an eSourcing link. Here are the steps:

  • Go to Administration > Users > Select the user from the list to open the “View User” page.
  • Scroll down to “e-Sourcing Systems”. You will see a list (if any) of the eSourcing systems linked to the user.
  • Click “Create”.
  • Select the appropriate eSourcing system from the drop-down menu. Note that this must already be configured on your account (see step 2 for details).
  • The “External User ID” is the user’s email address as it appears in Atamis.

  • On completion, a confirmation message is displayed. The user is now ready to verify their account and import evidence items.

4. Import the evidence items (first time use)

The first time a user uses AWARD® with Atamis, they will see an alert advising that their account needs to be verified. This is an essential step and you will not be able to proceed without it.

On seeing the alert, proceed directly to your inbox (or the email that is associated with your AWARD® account). You will see an email similar to the one below. Click the verification link. You will need to do this promptly as the email will expire after 20 minutes.

NOTE: If the link expires, you will land on the project home page with the following message shown:

As mentioned in the warning message, if you retry the action (be it importing evidence items or supplier responses), then you will be sent another verification email.

If you do not see the email (and it is not in your junk folders), please contact the AWARD® support desk who will be able to assist.

To complete the import of evidence items, follow [the guidance in eSourcing guide] from page 7 onwards.

To complete the import of supplier responses, follow [the guidance in eSourcing guide] from page 17 onwards.
