Communications within AWARD® are designed to be a single transaction of question and response, this prevents a conversation evolving to other items and becoming difficult to manage. Limiting the question to response allows a clear audit trail to ensure that all questions are answered succinctly.
However, there are instances where this is overlooked and as a result another question is issued as a response; ultimately closing the conversation off. You are unable to respond to a Clarification answer.
The recommended advice is that you issue another Clarification to the Project Team; allowing them to re-ask the question via an Authority Query (if the requirement is to attach further documentation) or provide further guidance.
